FDC 10/105 CHANGES TO ARMISTICE ZONE AND SPACE STATION DEFENSES
Background:
Pursuant to new regulations passed by the UEE Senate and the Office of the Imperator, The UEE Navy and UEE Advocacy have implemented new safety and security directives within space station Armistice Zones.
Impact:
Effective immediately, pilots of spacecraft are allowed to fire weapons within Armistice Zones in self-defense (previously, weapon use by any spacecraft was prohibited), or for the purpose of pursuing or arresting a lawful bounty target. Firing weapons within the Armistice Zone for any other reason, and destroying or damaging other ships, the station, or its defenses may result in criminal charges and armed response by military or security personnel.
No being may discharge weapons of any type on board a station.
Due to concerns raised by Rest and Relax over a possible increase in violence and criminal activity because of the new regulations, the government has agreed to allow Rest and Relax to install additional station defenses which are authorized to fire on any ship that poses a threat to the station and to lawful ships within the station’s Armistice Zone.

Port Olisar (20O), all Rest and relax properties within the system. This includes Baijini Point (30B), Everus Harbor (10E), and Port Tressler (40T).

No pilot may operate air or space craft in the areas covered by this NOTAM except as specified below and/or unless authorized by UEE, Advocacy, or designated law enforcement entities.
A. All air or space craft operations within the zone listed above are prohibited except for: approved law enforcement, military craft directly supporting the United Empire of Earth (UEE) and the office of the Imperator, approved bounty hunter or prison transport contractors for the express purpose of transporting prisoners to/from facility, other traffic authorized by Klescher Rehabilitation Facilities, and approved air ambulance flights. “Air” and “Space” craft include all manned, remotely piloted, or autonomous vehicles.
B. Aircraft/spacecraft may not loiter.
C. The following operations are not authorized within this restricted zone: all operations, excepting those specified in paragraph A.
D. UEE recommends that all air and spacecraft operators check NOTAMs frequently for possible changes to this restricted zone prior to operations within this region.
