Information and Disclaimers

The purpose of these charts is to give pilots general information on landing zones and the services available there.  Due to the nature of the Star Citizen alpha status and frequent updates thereto, all information is subject to change.

  • All altitudes are in meters.

  • Temperatures are in Celsius and represent a range of temperatures observed on the planet/moon.  They are not all inclusive and are intended only to provide general information to pilots.  Storms, blizzards, and other weather activity may cause much higher or lower temperatures.

  • The altitude displayed on the ship’s HUD is a constant similar to an MSL (Mean Sea Level) altitude, and NOT the ship’s altitude above ground level (AGL).  Please note, the altitude shown on your HUD is the altitude of your character, not the altitude of your ship, so depending on your seating position within a ship altitudes may be plus or minus a few meters.

  • The MSA (Minimum Safe Altitude) is the height of the highest obstruction within 10km of the landing zone, plus a 200 meter safety buffer.

  • Heights of obstructions in the immediate area of the landing zones are the actual heights of the obstructions (see the note about altitudes above).

  • OM1 is positioned above the north pole, and OM2 over the south pole of a given planet/moon.

  • The “lat/long” field is based on the work of justMurphy and Deep Space Crew.

  • Gravity is derived from the reading on the ship’s G meter when landed.

  • “ASOP” indicates the ability to spawn ships, and “Platinum Bay” the ability to spawn ground vehicles.

  • “Habitation modules” refers to the ability to log in/out or have a player imprint at a location.

  • Ship categories S, M, L, XL correspond to the size of pad/hangar in which they can spawn or land.  See Other Products/Additional Resources on deltaconsultingsc.com for more information.

  • The ship category listed as able to land at a location includes ships that can fit in hangars/on landing pads/at docking ports, or that can reasonably land nearby given the nature of terrain or other obstacles.  This is subjective, but should serve as a general guide to how much space is available near a location.

  • The ship category recommendation for landing zones solely considers physical size of ships and proximity of terrain, rocks, vegetation, lakes, rivers, and so on.  It does NOT consider the ability of terrain features such as snowpack, sand, ice, or loose soil to support the weight of a landed ship.  Ok, that’s not a thing in the game but it really should be.
